Reflection: It is important for teachers to be able to fit the needs of all students either virtually or in person. For this standard it really could be met through a variety of projects. I think the ones that best suit this standard are the Story project, Thinglink project, and the Scoopit project. The Story projects allows my students to work with one another and allows them to maximize their creativity as they create a story to teach the class on a particular subject in relation to the lesson. Thinglink allows for students to really push themselves as they try explore how to tell a story just from a single image. The students are allowed to add video links, audio, podcast, and other web sources to the image to help explain it. Scoopit is great because it allows students to read articles that are published all around the world on real world issues that relate to the topic given to them. Students can also build their own page to make a collaborative project.
Future Learning Goal: I will continue to search for ways to find programs that allow the students in my classroom to collaborate with one another. I will continue search for ways to help my students better prepare for the real world. Life is hard, it is my duty as a teacher to better prepare my students not just for life in the classroom, but outside of it as well. I will continue to grow as a teacher through professional development training which will help me grow in creating lesson plans that allow my students to maximize their creativity.
